Chuck,

Here is the list of Athlon prices shown on Pricewatch with eta of 4/24.

500 533 550 600 650 667 700 733 750 800 850 866 900 950 1GHZ
K7s 4/10 $151 $139 $160 $195 NA $220 NA $317 $452 $629 $714 $714 $971 $1199
4/24 $145 NA $139 $159 $175 NA $205 NA $264 $353 $471 NA $659 $789 $1139

PIIIS4/16 $191 $186 $186 $248 $285 $275 $374 $420 $500 $693 $793 $909 NA NA NA
Cel 4/16 $88 $100
K6-2 4/16 $45 NA $75
k6-2 4/10 $45 NA $95

o 700MHz - 800MHZ range, you can almost get 2 Athlons for 1 PIII same MHZ.

o I wonder what kind of prices Intel might be getting from DELL.
800MHz Athlons must be going for around $250 to oems.

o Remember the frequent question posed on this thread as well as many
Analysts - what happens to AMD if Intel produces huge number of
coppermines and drop prices on them? Now the question is, how Intel is
going to cope with these AMD's impending price cuts?

o Today's Athlon prices on Pricewatch with ETA of 4/24 could be tentative.
Based on my past experience, the prices on Pricewatch may go down even
further as the final date of price cuts arrives.
