International Wayside reports more drill assays
International Wayside Gold Mines Ltd IWA Shares issued 27,403,013 Apr 14 close $2.00 Mon 17 Apr 2000 News Release Mr. J. Frank Callaghan reports International Wayside provides information on more drill assays for the new zone (yet to be named) of mineralization in the footwall of the B.C. vein on Barkerville mountain. Gold mineralization is hosted by tan-coloured alteration consisting of sericite and dolomite. Gold mineralization is associated with thin stringers of blue-gray silica, dolomite and pyrite.

Drill holes BC 2K-14, 15, and 16 are being logged. Drilling has commenced on BC 2K-1 7 at -66 degrees from the same setup as BC 2K-16, which is 600 feet along strike from BC 2K 13, the drill hole reported in Stockwatch news of March 14, 2000. The property is located near Wells, British Columbia, adjacent to Barkerville historic town in north central British Columbia. Previous recorded production from the company's ground and surrounding area is 3-9 million ounces of gold, of which 1.3 million ounces was lode and 2.6 million ounces was placer. The company has been exploring the Cariboo Gold project property since 1995, and has identified a measured and indicated resource of one million ounces depending on cut-off grade, which will be mined by open- pit mining methods near the top of Cow mountain (4500 feet elevation). On April 7, 2000, the British Columbia Environmental Assessment office accepted for review a development application for a 3,000-tonne per day facility. |
