Monday April 17, 9:31 am Eastern Time Company Press Release Patriot Scientific Announces New Java Design Win for Medical Device in Germany Patriot Concurrently Announces Strategic Partnership With German System Design Firm SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 2000--Patriot Scientific Corp. (OTCBB:PTSC - news), today announced that it has received confirmation of the selection of Patriot's PSC1000 microprocessor for a new product being designed for the medical equipment market.
For competitive reasons, the customer requires confidentiality on their identity and the exact details of the product, until the end product is introduced into the marketplace. The product is based on Java technology, has a target price of less than $275, and is scheduled for market introduction this fall.
The product will be designed for the OEM customer by dSys, based in Ulm, Germany. dSys is a complete system design house with both hardware and software capability. Patriot, in conjunction with its German distributor, Ineltek, has formed a strategic partnership with dSys. dSys is agreeing to build expertise in PSC1000-based system design, and in return Patriot and Ineltek will refer customers in Germany to the design services of dSys.
