AMCC.. One of our earnings plays (April 19) is looking quite nice after giving back and coming down to reality. Down from 158 and sorry if 'mutual fund' holders are still 'waiting' to catch up, I won't or haven't.. long AMCC May call options. 185.00 % growth this quarter, but not worth $158.. worth nicely the 75ish it traded this morning. On February 29, 2000 Robertson Stephens analyst Arun Veerappan issued a 4 page Daily Notes Report on Applied Micro Circuits Corp. Report highlights: 'A STRONG BUY rating was maintained. The three-year EPS growth rate was projected at 30%.' give me a break, AMCC was 280 a share and a STRONG BUY???!!! So what is now, A steal? yes, probably. And those that argued about 'holding for the long haul? Well I'm in at nearly 1/4 the price. And if G-D forbid profit takers taker the 30% or double bagger I expect from this trade, I'll be joining them.
