remember when we all despised the little datek banner ad? it seems almost insignificant when compared to the sparkling, blinking, flashing things that are aimed at us now on si. and yes i have the option selected that turns them off in the stock talk section, but my god, this has really taken a turn for the worse.

imo, what these advertisers (and si) need to understand is that i would no sooner click on one of those obtrusive pieces-of-crap ads than i would slide down a sliding board made out of razor blades. ain't gonna happen. blinky, twinky, flashy all you want. it just makes me all the more steadfast in my resolve to never click the ad.

now somebody say i'm in the minority. go ahead. somebody tell me that they like those ads, they click on them, and that they think they are great, and that everyone they know feels the same.

ironically, the ad i'm looking at now says, "put this wireless video camera anywhere". right. i have a suggestion for where si can put the camera AND the ad. and there may be problems in there with the lighting.
