Hello Brian. Interesting article and we have this lunch time selloff. Hopefully that's all it is. Europe was down plenty this morning but when Wallstreet was up this morning before they closed, their pain was minimal. France actually closed higher. Lucky Ducks. Asia was already closed when we opened up and therefore got hit just like we did on Friday. I will try to stay with those lukewarm positive articles while this volatility prevails. There are plenty enough of the other kind. I hope everyone is alright. I did take a bit of a punishment with being heavily into techs, including internets. But some of the techs did nicely this morning. Let's hope it stays that way. zdii.com I heard that investors put more money into Mutual Funds to fund their IRAs. There was also talk over the weekend that funds may have to liquidate but it is being said this morning, that this scenario did NOT unfold. Most investors seem to be staying put in those funds. A lot of the selling last week was supposedly being caused by investors liquidating in order to pay their taxes on big gains. Most everyone in that position seemed to have waited to the last minute. Margin selling pressure is here but not to a great extend, so far. A lot of the margin calls were met by cash infusions, brokers said. I finally did get a margin call in one of my accounts. Some of my internet stocks in that account were down tremendously. Ouch. Let's hope better days will be here again soon. The DOW and NAZ are both in the green again. I guess we have to put up with this all day. Sure hope everything ends up in the green so I can listen to Frank's music instead of the business shows while on the road for a cpl of days. Sonny
