We have been very busy planting fruit trees, bushes, and vines, and working on making herb beds and a strawberry bed. We've planted a total of 22 fruit trees, about a dozen berry bushes, and three grape vines. So that's been very interesting. We planted bearing size trees from local nurseries, and already have baby peaches, apricots, plums, pears and cherries.
I found a really neat herb nursery, the guy that owns it has lots of different varieties of mint, lavender, thyme, oregano, basil, you name it, so we are working on making a couple of herb beds along the foundation in front of the house.
And way in the back yard, there are a lot of fallen trees that were there when we moved in, and we are working on clearing them away. So we stay busy. |
