All I can do is shake my head in wonder--how a stock could go down after the quarter that E*Trade just reported is truly amazing to me. The only rationale that I can think of is that investors are concerned that this correction will severely dampen enthusiasm of small investors. I don't care that much unless I get a margin call (not impossible), as I'm a longterm investor, but I'll admit to having a little more comfort when the numbers were green...
