Jacques Newey. OT OT Re: BRK and Warren Buffett.

For the essays culled from the BRK annual report send $20 to Lawrence Cunningham c/o Cardozo Law School, 55 Fifth Ave. NY, NY. 10003. (NYC residents add $1.23 for sales tax; other NY residents add $.64 per copy.)

Re: "WEB sure understands (the insurance business)." That's always what makes BRK so tempting. My problem is almost all the surprises in insurance are bad ones. Another concern is that in the annual report letter he can only promise "modest" gains from here, because BRK is so large and there are darned few bargains out there for a company that large. (Us little guys might be able to do better.) Finally, when I look at his ownership of large public companies like KO, Gillette, etc., I don't see much value there, with the possible exception of FRE, which I already own a bunch of.

But I will read the whole report before making my mind up for good.
