What gets to me is how rarely people take the golden opportunity to exchange perspectives and to think about why they feel so sure of attitudes and beliefs. When they do, it can be a great place to hang out. For example, Steven Rogers and I do not agree on God; however, we respect and like each other so we've had a chance when discussing our views to get to know each other better. I've even seen people become more tolerant over time, but it doesn't happen when they are yelling at one another.
