A new valuation model is coming out for the money loosing dotcoms. A lot of dotcoms will be washed out. Others will continue to fly high. The buzz word is B2B. <i/>

You might be a few days late about B2B. Already in Europe, one paper commented on B2B this way: Boring to Bankruptcy. Apparently, B2B companies are finding that old economy companies are not going to stand by and let upstart Internet companies rake excessive profits from their businesses-any more than the auto companies will turn over their dashboards to Microsoft without a struggle.

It is probably too much to hope for, but I would really like the recent market correction to dampen the wave upon wave of faddish investing. While it is good that new ventures have access to capital, an excessive continuation of this tendency is dangerous to the reasonable conduct of business. These investor manias cause capital to be poorly allocated, beyond anything reasonable and appropriate to the economy.

Probably my biggest fear over the last year or so is that WIND could be seriously challenged by a no-name IPO with a mega-billion market cap.
