I'm with you. When the rags take that Cuban kid off the cover and begin leading with a picture of a huge comet passing the moon and heading for Wall Street and the caption "IS IT TOO LATE TO GET OUT", that's when the BS flows the fastest.

What that means for the markets I don't know. I don't get too far into the technicals before I feel myself being led away from what I know to be facts.

Technological revolution is real.
Internet isn't going away.
People need to connect to the Internet.
ATHM has a superior way of connecting to the Internet today.
ATHM is in a position to offer a fundamentally different and better experience through developing (with MSFT) a new client interface as well as positioning content providers and developers on the backbone.

ATHM may not take advantage of their unique position and then again they may. I believe the stock will reflect whatever value that management extracts from the above. Right now the stock doesn't reflect what currently exists so I'll sit tight and wait. When the stampeding herd of clowns passes I'll climb down out of my tree and go find my chair, put it back together and drink my iced tea. I had to do the same thing when the herd was headed the other way earlier this year. All the cows has visions of green pellets as far as the eye could see and now they're trampling perfectly good fields of long green grass on their way out of the valley and into the desert (Reading Railroad, Water Works, Short Line). They'll be back when they get hungry.

Now if that isn't the damndest screwed-up analogy that I've ever concocted I don't know what is. I'm gonna check my coffee mug for residue. Someone's screwing with me.
