Obviously ETrade is going to have to be a lot more convincing....it is unfortunate but true. Who knows what kind of news or development will set it off. I have a sense that the uncertainty of ETrade is the big play against it. What could make investors feel certain? Escalating profits with high confidence in upcoming quarters; a major buy out; a major joint venture; a major development in its existing business model; a proven acceleration beyond the competition. We have a come a long way towards some of these things, but in other ways ETrade is like that little train just reaching the top of the mountain. Until it makes it in a major way we will probably be range-bound between our new lows and something like 32. I hope I am wrong, but I suppose I feel a little discouraged by the past coupla weeks.
