Catalyst Semiconductor, Inc. Announces Volume Shipments From Second Foundry At XFAB
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 2000--Catalyst Semiconductor, Inc. (OTC:CATS - news) today announced that has started volume shipments of products manufactured at XFAB in Lubbock, Texas.

Together with additional capacity recently opened in a second fab at Oki Semiconductor, the Company's principal foundry, XFAB will provide a significant increase in foundry capacity in an environment characterized by severe shortages. XFAB is owned by Elex NV, a Belgian holding company that holds approximately 34% of Catalyst's stock and has foundry operations both in Texas, USA and Germany.

Radu Vanco, the Company's President and CEO said, ``Opening the additional foundry at XFAB represents a major development, removing a principal obstacle for revenue growth in the current business environment, which is characterized by shortage of certain Flash and EEPROM products we manufacture.'
