<Hewlett-Packard Company today announced that, according to recent PC-industry figures, since October its highly reliable HP Pavilion notebook PC line has posted a 150 percent(1) increase in market share and experienced unit sales growth of 203 percent(1), vaulting HP to a solid No. 3 position in the U.S. retail notebook PC market. >

Overall growth of U.S. retail notebook PC market since October is apparently 35% based on the values above.

I hope the K6-2+ can continue to hold AMD's strong share of this market until the Athlon-based solution arrives. I was very surprised at the 50%+ and 65% February share mentioned by AMD in the CC. This market is clearly less sensitive to MHz and more sensitive to $$$? Or is the comparable Intel offering a Celeron derivative rather than the higher MHz Coppermine Speedsteps?
