Jack, The Versalar 15000 is the edge router. The Versalar 25000 is the core router. They were both developed by Bay personell. Both routers are an important part of the OPTera suite although not essential. I am sure that Nortel claims that OPTera runs better with the Versalar routers than other routers. Other router suppliers will no doubt dispute that claim. The point is these routers are a direct result of the Bay acquisition.
