My thoughts on the fear stuff.....

Oh, I don't know. Should wait until you see the 'tone' of the commentary from Larry King of (not France). I just listened to, yet another, commentary on the "sea-saw ride of the stock markets" on CBC radio (only in Canada, eh?). The consistent message has been a) the markets are volatile now, b) be really thoughtful before you invest (no details regarding what the heck you're supposed to think about), c) go with the established companies and stay away from those with no earnings, and d) stocks will be higher in the future.

Tell me this is fear. Un unh, no way this is negative. Nope to fear. Recall back to the summer and fall of 98. There was palpable fear. Everywhere in the media there was talk that 'this is possibly a bear market' or 'this is a bear market and you have to go to cash....' Instead of the librarian telling me that her brother-in-law is a little upset about losing 95Gs of the 300Gs he made, back then they said, "stay out of the market, this thing's going down!" Yeow! There is still too much complacency.

Ciao,
David Todtman
