Taiwan Hot Stk: Winbond +4.1% On DRAM Earnings Prospects
TAIPEI (Dow Jones)--Winbond Electronics Corp. (2344.TW) shares are up 4.1% in early trading Tuesday amid firming prices for dynamic random access memory chips and expectations the chipmaker will post strong profit growth in 2000, dealers said.
At 0151 GMT (9:51 p.m. EDT Monday), shares in Winbond were up NT$3.50 (US$1=NT$30.503) at NT$89.50 on volume of 41.4 million shares
