JDN, there have been two major departures recently. In January, Harry Dixon (Sr. VP Sales) left, and the departure wasn't amicable. There was a disagreement about Dixon's personal stake in a storage start-up. That might have been StorageNetworks, because Dixon is now a director there. Adding a little interesting twist to this is CPQ's recent investment in StorageNetworks. There is a pretty high probability now that StorageNetworks will probably look to CPQ's low end product rather than the Data General storage product. On the high end, EMC is probably pretty safe as the main supplier at StorageNetworks.

The other main management loss was John McCarthy, the Sr. VP of North American sales. It appears that this departure was a little more amicable than the Dixon departure.
