wayne, my thesis is the govt agencies across the world will do whatever it take to foment the bubble. alan.com will put inflation second to the bubble, at least initial. no more rate hikes. japan will squander the retirement savings of its people to pump the markets. japan will buy dollars. money supply will be pushed into the markets. the talking heads will sooth the masses.

of course, it won't work forever. but it has worked quite well for some time and the markets are responding nicely to what could have been a disaster.

pure and simple: market manipulation.

i'm mostly cash and will stay that way until the market approaches fair value. i will play a few names that i expect to do well, but w/ a small portion of my dough.

i think mike's 90/10 system (bullish and/or bearish) makes sense, too.
