The following is interesting conjecture from the Yahoo Board. OT: where's FredE lately? Was he a casualty of the last battle in the Nasdaq?

AAPL is trying to enhance it's internet
strategy and the set-top box is a more logical
conclusion. AAPL may try to compete with AOL
and MSFT's Web TV more directly!

Think about it! They get their DVD ROM & RAM from OEM vendoers.

A set-top box deal could have CUBE build
new electronics specifically for AAPL's internet
strategy. It could be possible that Earthlink
and AKAM are involved since AAPL has major
investments in those companies.

Do not look at the surface, but look at
AAPL's underlying strategy to see the true
meaning of such a deal...
