Penni - not to pick a fight or anything, but why is it wrong? It is legal, after all ,and I for one will use ANY legal means at my disposal th protect my (family's) assets. If you want a cheesy rationalization, this is only partial compensation for the outrageous double taxation presented by what useta be called FICA. "Just gittin' mine." I suspect Americans are much more rabidly protective of any entitlements, real or imagined, than even their Constitutional rights. After all the AARP is the single strongest special-interest lobby in the Union. I'd even hazard to say that if we linked repeal of the Second Amendment to an across-the-board tax cut, the voters would tell me "Kiss your guns goodbye". The "victim" mindset of some welfare recipients makes a pretty ironclad fortress for their sense of entitlement. "The system owes us" is sooo much easier to swallow than " Yikes. Gotta save the beer money to get out of this dump in maybe ten years".
