The internet, though, has never mined a single ounce of ore, drilled a single oil well, planted or harvested a single grain of wheat or corn. It has never baked a single loaf of bread or assembled or soldered a pcb or built a car,truck or the bridge which carries them. It has never moved a single box. It has never done any of those things, good or evil, which men(and women) have done.

I believe you will note I said nothing that spoke a single word against any one of either gender, any race creed or color.

Yes, it can build community where none existed. It can simplify and ease a great many tasks & allow a broad sharing of information. Information alone will not feed or clothe the world or reduce illness. As many people(perhaps even more) starve worldwide each day than only 8 years ago. This movement of information has not reduced the rate of infection from aids by a single person, rather, the infection(and death) rate among American women has increased.
