Part Of - Jazz Property With Indocan Resources Inc.

Montello Resources Ltd. and Redwood Resources Ltd. (the "Companies")

announce that they have entered into an option agreement with Indocan Resources
Inc. ("Indocan") on part of the "Jazz" Property, Alberta. The optioned property,
situated near Red Earth, Alberta is approximately 130,000 acres and is made up
of the six most western Townships of the "Jazz" property, Twps. 83 Range 8, 9,
10 and Twps. 84 Range 8, 9, 10. The Property is currently joint ventured
70%-Montello and 30%-Redwood. The terms of the agreement are as follows: Indocan
must complete a work program totaling $450,000.00 over the next two years as
well as issue to the Companies a total of 1 million shares of Indocan and
100,000 shares of Spirit River Resources ("Spirit").

Toronto, Ontario, Apr. 18, 2000 (Market News Publishing via COMTEX) -- Upon
completion and fulfillment of the Option Agreement the Respected interests in
the Property will be as follows:




Indocan Resources Inc. 60%
Montello Resources 28%
Redwood Resources Ltd. 12%
