The company has been asked by the Canadian Venture Exchange to clarify
certain statements made in its news release made earlier today.
The company is exploring the potential to purchase a 95-per-cent interest
in an e-commerce company which is involved in the specialty food market.
According to statistics and projections made by SVP Market Research Reports
and the market and Industry Services Branch of Agriculture and Agri-Food
Canada, this industry will reach $50-billion in the year 2000.
Management would further like to retract the statement that "management
believes Sierra's shareholders stand to profit significantly." This
statement is not substantiated by any fact. The company would like to
reiterate that all negotiations at this time are tentative.
Further, the company believes that it should be able to announce further
news regarding the planned private placement within three weeks.
The company apologizes if its previous new release was misleading to
investors.
