Eicon Technology to Fill Vacancy on its Board of
Directors, Paul Rosenbaum Leaves the Board of Directors

APRIL 18, 2000
MONTREAL, CANADA--Mr. Peter Brojde, Chairman of the Board,
President and CEO of Eicon Technology announced today the
departure of Mr. Paul Rosenbaum, Managing Partner of Wayland
Partners Ltd. of Massachusetts from Eicon's Board of Directors.
Due to pressing demands on his time, Mr. Rosenbaum finds that he
is no longer able to actively participate on the Board.

"We appreciate the contributions Mr. Rosenbaum has made to the
Company, particularly the time, energy and expertise contributed
during the past four years." said Peter Brojde. The Board has
initiated a search for a new Board Member to replace Mr.
Rosenbaum.
