James, just catching up after having my Internet service down for a while. I think your bearish comments on technology may reflect your investment position, and looking at only the large tech stocks. Many non-Internet secondary tech stocks are down 60-80% from their highs AND I have talked to a couple of CEOs who did express interest in buying stock. However, I would agree that it will be tough for them to make progress if the more expensive larger ones continue dropping.

I also heard from a reliable source that there was huge institutional shorting of QQQ and buying of puts on leading tech stocks yesterday (Monday) - which can be taken two ways. My son and son-in-law, experienced technology investors, on the other hand independently bought QQQ in the low 80's.

Having read a lot of posts all at once, I would add that I am struck by the unanimity of bearishness on technology.
