Linux is much more scalable. Especially downwards. Try tu run Windows 2000 Datacenter server on 8MB

Your post made the SI homepage as you are no doubt aware...quick Q re above snippet - given cheap RAM, does it matter whether Linux scales down better than Win2000? The last time I had a machine with 8MB RAM was a 486/66 five years ago...BTW, good post, I agree, Linux is a _competitive_ tool which other companies may use to build _profitable_ products, not other way around.
