On the Nokia 9110:
things like this are generally more expensive in Europe than the USA. I just saw a palm V offered for $ 500 inc salestax at a discount place.

The list for the 9110 in Holland is Dfl 2000 ($900); at the airport you pay Dfl 1700 ($780). If you take a 2 year conrtact with a cell phone provider you pay $ 500 which is quite reasonable.

It is interesting that Nokia does not seem to have high US penetration or is that only for this model? As I understand it they sold in 1999 approx. 30-35% of the world market of cell phones (250 million market then, 400 million pieces this year (total, not just Nokia)). Now I know that europe has a very high cell phone density especially in Scandinavia and also in some med countries like Italy, but I wonder how strong they are in the US.
