CC,

Two other interesting points out of the Merill news:

As they take more control of their finances, people will want information, product choice and access to international markets. Across Europe, Asia-Pacific, Japan and Latin America, it is estimated that the number of households who are "on the net" and are active investors will grow more than four-fold in the next decade to 50 million.

I would love to get this statistic for the whole world because this will be SEG's target market, talk about a growth industry <ggg>

For now, companies whose market share could be most threatened by the latest development aren't sweating. "We'll have to wait and see what they offer," said a spokeswoman for Germany's Consors. "The German market has already been divided to a large part among the established players...it's too early to say how far (HSBC and Merrill) will be able to establish a footing as well."

SEG can go into these markets and partner with the "established players" immediately. Talk about a nice edge over the competition.

With Merrill taking 2 years to get just 6 countries up and running I am not worried concerned about the threat. By that time Merrill is up and run SEG should have developed a good sized loyal customer base and brand name recognition.

Best Regards
KEITH
