Dear Don,
Your post is a treat since you are the only muleskinner I know, who retreated to New Mexico's mountains because you wanted to get away from all the crazies. And California, like every other State, is full of crazy people.
I had to do the tax thing and since then my focus has been on income. Back in January I decided that I needed a paycheck that was equal to the dollars that make it to the bank every month. I've done okay. In January, I met my goal, and in February and March, I doubled it. April looks like another month for a double. My only rule is that I don't trade core holdings like Sun unless I need to balance the retirement account where I hold my Sun shares.
We need a new heating system. Someone mentioned a heat pump. Have you had any experiences with heat pumps?
The trading thingy is fun. Butt now that I'm used to a paycheck, I like it. So far, I've reinvested the money, but maybe when I write a check for a new heating system, I think it will be fun?..I don't know??Heating systems don't sound very exciting, but your trip through the Inside Passage sounds nice. Do you fly up to British Columbia?
How does your wife like New Mexico. I've never been there. I'd luv to come and meet you both. I've never met a mule either. If you stop over in Seattle, you've got to call me.
I'm tired. I weeded a flower bed til' dark. Today, I put a mixture of ginger, curry, black peppercorns and dried mustard on my rose bed to keep the cats out.. Only problem was I had to go see the doc at 2, and I didn't have time to shower b4 I left so even though I washed my hands, I smelled like an oriental kitchen. I was very embarrassed.
Your post brought back old memories. When I read it I laughed so hard that Mr. Mephisto asked me if I was okay
And, Mephistopheles, my magical cat, lives still. He has a heart murmur and we have to give him prescription medicine, but he should be okay. He's well enough to give me a lift on his magic carpet whenever I need a break.. And speaking of breaks he's not a very good driver and we ran into a wall one time. I guess that's when we broke the tea cups that you mentioned(ggg)..
It's late. I'm tired. I'll get up early tomorrow morning, and maybe if I'm lucky I'll make some more money b4 the market pulls back.
I think you were wise to invest in Sun.
