Brian. About pigs getting slaughtered. Yeah. I know. It seems that long term investing is going out the window.

Do you remember reading about this lady who worked for the GVT and invested in stocks and lived pretty frugal and when she passed away she left stocks worth over 22 mill.? She just bought so called good stocks and never traded. That's what I call long term. She was not a rich lady to start of with. She used part of her salary as a bookkeeper in the GVT to invest in stocks. Can we, who trade in and out of stocks, match this? Not me. gg. Maybe it's not that pigs get slaughtered, maybe it's investors like me that worry too much about the day to day stuff.

Did you notice the housing numbers? Down over 11%. Greenspan would not have the nerve to raise more than .25. Like Dear Abby says: The US economy is like a big tanker, it takes a while to turn around. I hope we did not get too many rate hikes already. Just wait until some of those Rolls R. and mill.dollar homes get back onto the market. A lot of very wealthy millionaires are no more. Any idea why the bank stocks are not participating? And brokerages? A lot of IPO windows are closed now. Maybe it will even affect Dear Abby's firm. I don't believe it was the little investor that caused this crash. Or the margin guys. Most margins were met and it was only 270 bill. to begin with and we lost almost, how many trillions? Something else did it.
Did you listen to Joe Kernan Tuesday morning? He was talking about a lot of those young middle management millionaires getting cut down to size. He was just oozing of jealousy that they got so rich. Even Mark Haines noticed it and told him he did not mind that those guys became millionaires. He said: More power to them. But Joe really carried on about it. That's where we are today. So many people think rich is a dirty word. Hey, I would not mind being dirty. gg.

Talk to you from good ole FLA if I have some stocks left when I get there. gg. NAZ futures are down some. Not as bad as I would have thought. But it's early. NAZ 100 is unchanged and e-NAZ is down 1000.

What on earth is wrong with JDSU? I guess it went up too much yesterday. Or did you sell that many calls? gg. ARBA and CMRC did well.

Sonny
