CORL has fallen back during a period monumental growth, to understate the situation. During this period Corel has just managed to hang on, losing millions regularly. Tall tales regarding Network Computer revenue or Java Office Suite domination turned out to be nothing more than imagination, and that's giving them the benefit of the doubt. There are several excellent Java office products, and several office products for Linux. Like the Network Computer and the Java Office Suite bandwagons, Corel is again jumping on a public bandwagon, long after it's been in the public eye.
How many Network Computers did they sell? After being more than a year late, they had no customers lined up. They gave up in the middle of the Java office product. Now, what was this about an investment in video conferencing? Corel spent millions on a failed vidoe conferincing system, yet another failure. Where is it? What is a "Linux" video conferencing system? It's a UNIX product, that's all, and there are many of them. You're not a serious investor in this stock and do not even want to know the facts. That's how investors burn themselves: no information, no knowledge. |
