CompuCom's Advanced Integration Services Centers Achieve ISO 9001 Certification
Announces Promotion of Dan Elliot to Vice President of Integration Services
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 18, 2000--CompuCom Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq:CMPC - news), a leading infrastructure solutions provider, today announced the completion of its certification audit for ISO 9001 at the company's Advanced Integration Services Center in Paulsboro, N.J., its IBM co-location facility in Raleigh, N.C. and its Toshiba co-location facility in Irvine, Calif.
All three facilities have been upgraded from their current ISO 9002 rating based on the results of a certification audit completed by KPMG ISO Management Systems.
CompuCom's Advanced Integration Services Centers offer a single point of integration for multi-vendor custom integration solutions. ISO certification reflects CompuCom's compliance with standards recognized by the Geneva-based International Organization for Standardization, a worldwide federation of approximately 130 countries.
Additionally, CompuCom announced the promotion of Dan Elliott to the position of vice president of integration services, engineering and development. Elliott, a three-year CompuCom veteran, was instrumental in the development of the company's front-end engineering process that enabled CompuCom to qualify for ISO 9001 certification. Prior to CompuCom, Elliott spent 15 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring with the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
