I think you may be right on that but the target market for SME and K-Mart/Wal-Mart is different...The store is doing a slight repositioning upscale...I was looking for a TV recently with a built in VCR and checked SME, H.H. Gregg, Target & Circuit City and SME was either leading the pack or in the middle of the pack...the reason I went to these stores is because I wanted a wide variety to choose, see the demos and have my questions answered. I don't think the SME strategy is to compete with K-Mart & Wal-Mart, if that was the gameplan I'd be out...now having said that you're comments would cause me some concern if the economy were to go into a tailspin but as long as the economy remains healthy I think this strategy will work for SME...
