Debra, you might like this article. It may offer some additional advise for people like yourself. Just remember, you can't get seriously hurt if you set your stops and alerts. I've bought several dozen stocks in the past two days that are up significantly from my purchase cost. If I had waited I'd have missed a great money making opportunity. If I had sold too quickly, more potential lost. I'm watching them closely. I hope they turn out to be great position and longer term sells. If not, I'll exit with significantly more profit than the "zero" profit I'd have had by not buying. For me, the risk on the downside was nearly zero (stops and quick sells if the stocks turned against me) and the upside could be many 100's of percentage points. Heck, some are already up in excess of 60%.
