GA eXpress, a Business Unit of General Automation, Signs Agreement With Glenn Computer to Conduct eBusiness with Mortgage Institution Customers
Service Bureau for Mortgage Companies Will Utilize eTools XML To Build eBusiness Systems for Reliable, Secure, Easy Transactions
IRVINE, Calif., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- GA eXpress(TM), a business unit of General Automation©, Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: GAUM - news) and a leading provider of eBusiness solutions, announced today it will provide Glenn Computer Corp., a provider of services and automated systems for mortgage institutions, with new software and hardware products to advance the company's eBusiness initiative. Glenn Computer will implement GA eXpress' eTools(TM) XML development software, which was recently launched into Beta, to enable the company to engage in comprehensive eBusiness with its customers. Under the terms of the agreement, General Automation will provide consultation, software, equipment and on-going services for the platform.
Glenn Computer provides software and automated systems for mortgage institutions, enabling them to streamline management of billions of dollars in such areas as accounting, insurance, payments, credit reporting, investor reports, foreclosures, bankruptcies and collections. Because Glenn Computer's systems process highly critical information, it is imperative that the company's technology infrastructure is fault-tolerant, highly reliable and built on industry standards to allow for future growth. Glenn Computer chose the solution from GA eXpress because they are assured that the company's products and technical support would meet these needs.
``There are other companies that I could purchase XML development software from, but I chose GA eXpress because I am confident the company will support Glenn Computer and its customers should any issues arise,' said Glenn Liebowitz, CEO, Glenn Computer Corp. ``Our systems are up around-the-clock processing time-sensitive data for our clients. I only work with vendors who will be there for me 100 percent of the time.'
Though Glenn Computer's customers range from small local companies to large national institutions, they all have the same need for electronic access to critical data regarding mortgage accounts on a real-time basis. Many of Glenn Computer's customers are using eBusiness capabilities to implement advanced offerings in areas like customer support.
``One of our customers now offers account information to its mortgage customers online Internet,' added Liebowitz. ``If a homeowner wants to refinance his loan, he can now input key information onto our client's Web site. Once we receive the alert from our client, we can provide them the homeowner's payment history, the loan payoff amount, and other important information that will allow them to approve the request immediately online. This new system will save our customers time and money. Since it's quicker and more reliable, it will increase their customers' satisfaction.'
Jane M. Christie, General Automation president and CEO, said that the new functionality gained from secure, comprehensive eBusiness systems is exactly what the company envisioned when it developed its ePath(TM) corporate strategy and the GA eXpress business unit. ``We are glad to work with one of the leading service bureaus in the U.S. as a key partner on the path -- or ePath -- to enable eBusiness. It is clear that GA eXpress' vision -- to transform enterprises into eBusinesses, while ensuring they continue to leverage their existing investment in MultiValue technology -- is being embraced by thousands of companies as they move into electronic partnering.'
Glenn Computer Corp. will focus on utilizing GA eXpress' eTools XML development software as its core eBusiness infrastructure. eTools XML provides the assurance that Glenn Computer's eBusiness infrastructure can grow to meet future demand, yet still comply with widely-accepted industry standards. The company has also purchased two Groupe Bull Escala T430 Series servers and mv.ENTERPRISE software, a highly powerful and reliable MultiValue database, to warehouse critical financial information for its mortgage institution clients.
eTools XML Begins the ePath
GA eXpress' eTools XML builds on the company's powerful, industry-renowned MultiValue database products and sets businesses on the path to the future of business: eBusiness. eTools XML is a set of components and API extensions specifically geared to accessing MultiValue data, manipulating it and integrating it into XML. The program is so intuitive, it enables programmers to develop and maintain eCommerce applications quickly and easily, saving them time and money.
The ePath to Comprehensive, Flexible, Easy-to-Implement eBusiness
eTools XML is part of GA eXpress' new suite of products enabling businesses that use MultiValue databases to develop comprehensive eBusiness systems. Other eTools development kits encompass eTools JDBC (Java), eTools OLE DB and eTools ODBC. The new family of products also includes eDesigner(TM) for the ODBC and OLE DB products. eDesigner is an easy-to-use Windows©-based tool for mapping, directing and administrating the data and data paths that are to be utilized by the client system. eConnect(TM) ODBC is another new product in the suite, and provides an easy-to-use direct read connect from any MultiValue data source into the more than 300 ODBC-compliant applications for Windows.
