There was a few parts in the CC where they were asked about yields, binsplits, and demand. The answer was something like "we have signed contracts and in Q2 will be making what we have commited to". This was in response to why they aren't producing the high speed parts. Sounded fair to me.

Then after sleeping on it for a night, I realized that this was complete bullshit. If they could make the parts, they would be, that's the bottom line. All of the OEM's want more high speed parts, they would be happy to give up a lot of 1000 low speed Pentium III's for a lot of 1000 1 Ghz Pentiums. There is no reason why they couldn't commit part of 1 of their megafabs to high speed parts, unless of course they couldn't actually make them. The more I think about it, the more I think that INTC is having some serious binsplit problems.
