RE: It depends on what you applied for. If you only asked to write CCs then you might get it the same day. If you asked to do more
risky trades it could take a week or more. It took me about 3 weeks to get put writing authorization in my IRA.

I asked for covered calls, uncovered calls, puts, writing authorization, pretty much everything. I wonder if part of my request will be authorized before all of it is. The margin request is a separate form from the option request. I hope it doesn't take 3 weeks.
