Thanks to everyone for the options info. The handbook was mailed along with the forms. I don't know how they would know if I read it or not. So I guess I won't be writing options although I hope I can get level 2 without waiting too long. I'm not interested in writing covered calls on AMD (the only stock that I have more then 100 shares of) unless options that are signifigantly more out of the money are added. Well maybe I will at least get margin privliges and use that to increase my AMD position about 20%. I don't think I would be at much risk of a margin call by doing this. BTW - You say level 3 requires a margin account and a large equity balance. What qualifies as large? I'm fairly sure that my balance does not. Tim
