Randy, Bill bought it from the owner of Seattle COmputers, I forgot his name however. One of my former managers was good buddies with him, and said jokingly that Gates keeps him up at nights sometimes <grin> After the deal was cut, IBM made him "stupidfy" the software a bit to put in some artificial file/memory/disk constraints so that the product would never compete with minicomputers. I would LOVE to see MSFT make a play, how about 1 share of MSFT for each share of E-DATA. (I am SURE that Gates is VERY aware of E-DATA). Don't forget he as the digital rights to all of that artwork.
