Tim, my option agreement took only about a week because I called. Then they didn't approve "writing" uncovered options until I sent a new form saying that the purpose of the trading was "speculation." I've never written an uncovered option yet because they require $20K of FREE principal and I'm usually 100% invested. Also Dreyfus requires 50% margin on uncovered options while my old broker only required 25% margin minus the amount the option was out of the money, to as low as 10%. Petz
