Lucent Certifies VeraWeb Veramark's Internet Accounting Software

PITTSFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 13, 2000--Veramark Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:VERA, news, msgs) today announced that Lucent Technologies had completed the certification of Veramark's VeraWeb(TM) Internet Accounting software. The certification process involved rigorous testing of the VeraWeb software at Lucent's world-class test laboratory in Denver, CO. Lucent's national sales and marketing force will now begin to sell and deliver VeraWeb network accounting software to existing and new Lucent customers on an OEM basis.
Veramark's new Internet accounting software has been integrated with Veramark's telemanagement software providing Lucent's business customers with a consolidated view of telecom and network usage costs. Veramark's integrated telemanagement software is also being sold through Veramark's other distributors of telecommunications and network products.
VeraWeb is a network resource management tool designed to help companies manage the productivity of their networks, their bandwidth, and their personnel. VeraWeb manages and reports on Web surfing, email, FTP file transfers, news groups, and streaming multimedia. Network usage, along with the cost of this usage, is then allocated to individuals and corporate cost centers. VeraWeb includes a portfolio of easy-to-understand, browser-based reports that help enforce a company's appropriate Internet use policy, thereby improving productivity and ensuring a higher quality of network service.
