I think David was sexually diseased. That affair with Bathsheba was inexcusable. I suspect he was bisexual. Also an exhibitionist -- that thing of dancing naked before the ark was embarrassing. Considering the sexual conduct of his sons and descendants I think he was a very bad example and his children should have been removed from his custody. A very bad man indeed.
