Mike, i wouldn't worry about South African politics at this stage. the current ANC leadership is actually for the most part composed of political realists. the main danger for SA is that complete anarchy could break out, but even then the mining houses would imo be well equipped to deal with that. i think the recent weakness reflects partly the weakness of the Rand. unfortunately the FinRand doesn't exist anymore, so there's no real gauge for foreign investor sentiment toward SA available. btw, i have added some HGMCY and GOLD yesterday and today, so i'm putting my money where my mouth is. regards, hb
