IMO, that is exactly the issue. How can you simplistically blame it on the student's behavior. Look at the circumstances in which these people are confined. It is clearly a matter of wealth and poverty, the haves and the have nots. The wealthy see that their children have access to the finest education and social connections that will ensure their success. The poor have no such access, or if they have occasional access, it is generally very limited. Stan, we all know there is not equal opportunity. And we all know on some level that this is wrong. Denying the problem will not make it go away. Neither will blaming the victims.
