Nancy, David was secure in his masculinity, and sexuality, so had no problem saying that he could love a man without any concern of misinterpretation by the people who were also secure in this regard. Some people, who shall remain nameless at this time, are so insecure in their own masculinity, that they leap at the chance to accuse another of such self doubts. Misery does love company, you know?
