Its a PR game for these big customers at this point - wouldnt read too much into these announcements - Ebay got started with a single developer who banged out the code on a Sun Ultra Workstation because it was the best tool for the job - not because some executive told him to so they could do a press release with HP about it - I havent run into a single developer who prefers anything but Solaris for enterprise applications.
