I hadn't had a haircut in quite a while, and I could tell it needed one, because people would look at my hair and Not Say Anything. And I don't mean Chris, who is basically clueless about stuff like that. So, I was going to court a couple of weeks ago, and needed a haircut, and I went to the mall with Nick, who also needed a haircut, and gave him some money for the barbershop, and wandered around trying to get one of the beauty parlors to take me, and they all had long waiting lines, so I made an appointment and went to wait for Nick. It's one of the old time barbershops, with the red and white striped poles, where men go to get real haircuts, I think $10 or $12, which is very cheap for the big Eastern Seaboard city, let me tell you. So I noticed that the sign with the prices on it said "Ladies Cut - $15," and I asked a nice Asian woman whether I could have a hair cut. She looked surprised, but put me right in the chair, and cut it just like I wanted in about 15 minutes. She didn't blow dry it, but she offered. I gave her a $5 tip, and intend to go back. |
