Yeah, at least they had the relative freedom to revolt. They supported the overthrow w/o the knowledge of what Castro would do to them. Imagine how great the revolt would against Castro if the people had some measure of freedom to pursue one.

Castro can't afford that because he saw what happened to his totalitarian friends when they relaxed their grip.
